Ein sehr unterhaltsamer und informativer Vortrag von Roy Sutherland über Werbung, Wert und Wahrnehmung aut einer ungewöhnlichen Perspektive. Sutherland gibt unter anderem Beispiele, wie man auch für nicht-kommerzielle Ideen – z.B. Umweltschutz und Kartoffeln – die Wahrnehmung der Menschen beeinflussen kann.

Advertising adds value to a product by changing our perception, rather than the product itself. Rory Sutherland makes the daring assertion that a change in perceived value can be just as satisfying as what we consider “real” value — and his conclusion has interesting consequences for how we look at life.

Wir leben in einer alles-entscheidenden Zeit. Wissenschaftler sagen uns, wir hätten nur 10 Jahre um unsere Lebensweise zu ändern, um das Aufzehren von Rohstoffen zu verhindern und um eine katastrophale Entwicklung des Weltklimas zu verhindern.
Jeder Einzelne muss an dieser gemeinsamen Anstrengung teilnehmen ; und um so viele Leute wie möglich darauf aufmerksam zu machen, habe ich den Film HOME gedreht.
